So, what is it ‘about us’? Well.
This is all about the Mozart Effect. And not just in reference to the popular theory that listening to Mozart — as a stand in for classical music in general — in early childhood has beneficial effects on mental development. If listening to Mozart makes you smarter, imagine what being able to read Mozart’s works and play them on the violin, the piano or another instrument might do to improve your mental acuity. We should not stop at passively listening, but rather actively engage music. The development of a musical brain; what a lovely thought.
There are, of course, commercial interests at stake as well. When have they ever not been? Best Online Music Lessons’ goal is to be the number one site for learning to play an instrument online. For those of us who do not have the time, money, inclination or opportunity to turn to a music school or private music lessons to learn the instrument of their dreams. This is for the rest of us.
